Thank you for your interest in the Associate Director of HR (HR Services and Resourcing) role at the University of the Arts London (UAL).
This is a highly exciting time to join the University. UAL has embraced change and we have bold plans for the future, which include the completion of one of the most ambitious programmes of infrastructure investment in the sector, with new campus developments for London College of Fashion and London College of Communication. These plans will enable us to provide world-class facilities for all of our rapidly evolving disciplines.
As a University, we have also been reviewing the way we are structured and work with each other, and are putting in place some changes that will further enhance our ability to operate in a fully integrated and strategic manner at both College and University level.
We have reconfigured our HR function to enable us, through our People Strategy, to deliver the UAL Corporate Strategy. We are a University that values its staff and in the last staff survey 80% of staff said that UAL is a great place to work. We have to deliver through our people and this can only be carried out successfully through staff collaboration and working in partnership. This role is critical to this objective and with a broad and substantial brief it is vital in ensuring delivery of a high-class service to our customers We are looking for an experienced individual who can lead and manage diverse teams and individuals across a large and complex institution. Building relationships across our multi-faceted Colleges is vital and engaging at the senior levels of the University is a key requirement. Willing to embrace change and new ways of working, this is an opportunity for individuals from a variety of backgrounds to play a key role in driving change across the University.
